FREE EXHAUST FAN SEAL
To be eligible for an exhaust fan seal upgrade under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program, you must meet the following requirements:
• Property : The property where the upgrade takes place must be in Victoria as residence with current electric, water and gas connection.
• Customer : The person who is authorising the upgrade must be 18 Years and over.
• Property Status: You can be an owner-occupier or a tenant.
• Existing Equipment: The upgrade requires the replacement of an existing unsealed or inefficient exhaust fan or vent.
• Existing ceiling or wall fan must expel air outside or into the roof cavity.
• There is no existing fan seal installed.
• Prior Claim: You must NOT have claimed this upgrade previously for the property under the Victorian Energy Upgrades Program.
• Accredited Provider: The installation must be completed by a provider who is accredited under the Victorian Energy Upgrades program.
• Product Approval: The new exhaust fan seal product must be an approved model listed on the VEU Register of Products.
Note:
Both homeowners and tenants are eligible for this upgrade. For rental properties, it’s recommended that tenants and landlords collaborate on the upgrade.
