To be eligible for a discounted heat pump hot water system under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Owner-Occupier: You must be the owner-occupier of the Victorian property where the system is to be installed.
• Income: Your combined household taxable income must be less than $210,000 per year. (Note: If you do not meet this income requirement, you may still be eligible for partial discounts under the VEU program.)
• Property Value: The value of the property must be under $3 million.
• Existing System Age: The existing hot water system being replaced must be at least three years old.
• VEU-Approved Product: The new heat pump hot water system must be listed on the VEU Register of Products and must have a minimum product warranty of five years.
• Minimum Co-payment: A mandatory co-payment of at least $200 (including GST) is required.
• Accredited Provider: You must engage with a provider accredited under the VEU program to manage the discount and all necessary paperwork.
• Prior Claim: You must NOT have claimed this upgrade previously under the Victorian Energy Upgrades Program.
